Hi,

I was wondering if my father owns a house in Texas and has it paid off but would like to change the name on the title from his to mine and my sister's (his daughters) would that be possible even though he is currently married. Her name is not on the title as of now but she does live there with him.

Hi maimarei,
Welcome to mortgage fit,

Yes it is surely possible......With the help of quitclaim deed you can practically transfer the property title to any damn person on this planet.Just ask your father to sign the quitclaim deed to you and your sister with predetermined equity.

Make sure your father visit the county office where property is located and fill the quitclaim deed form.It is really an important aspect to notarize the document and register it with the authorities.

For any further information related to quitclaim deed you may visit the below mentioned link.........http://www.mortgagefit.com/search/quitclaim-deed.html

Feel free to ask any further query if you have.........
