Hi my husband wants to get a house which is fine with me. I believe he might try for an Fha loan but do i have to sign the loan as well. We live in san antonio , tx and this is where he will be buying. I just want to know if i have to sign anything for him to qualify because we are married or can he do it himself.

Hi es_prince,

It is not mandatory for you to become a co-borrower for the loan. If your husband meets the required criteria of the lender, then he will be able to take out a mortgage in his name. He can take out the loan in his name alone.
