My lender has suspeded my loan process because either the appraiser or underwriter has said under fanny mae and freddie mac guidelines there are five guidlines which have to be met. Things like natural gas , city water and city electrical. I have researched both underwriting guidlines and cannot find one thing that adresses the subjuct. We do have city water, aerobic septic systen and electricity, utilities are under ground.

I would be curious to hear more of what your lender told you about your loan being 'suspended'
Unfortunately I do not have a better answer on the 5 guidelines other than what you have found.

Hi

I'm not aware of any such underwriting guidelines. But I think you need to discuss this with the lender and see if anything could be done so the property qualifies for the loan as per the underwriting guidelines. You can also discuss this with other lenders and see what they have to say about it.
