regarding home owners insurance

After discussion i noticed the dealer is an authorized agent for an insurance company. Also i already have a policy on the old home. Is this legal, how should i respond to this?

It is your discretion whether or not you'll go with the same company. However, if it's the policy of the dealer that you should go with his insurance agent, then you won't have any choice. Thanks
