My grandfather passed away in Nov. 2009. I am executrix of his estate. My husband and I want to buy out my 3 siblings interest in the house, but neither of them wants a 1099-S. Can they each convey to me their interest in the house (say in consideration for a sum of $10, etc....)?
The house is paid for - no mortgage.

Welcome Guest,

Your siblings can definitely transfer the property to you in consideration for a sum of $10. You can contact an attorney and get the deed drafted. He will help you and your siblings in filling out the deed and transferring the property to you.
