How do I take my name off the mortgage? and my credit!!!

Like 0 Dislike 0 I granted the house to my ex-husband, the property is in Texas, he lives in that house. I live in another state. He was supposed to provide the warranty deed at that time, he never did, and file bankruptcy... what can I do to have my name off the mortgage. I am legally discharged of that house but not financially!!! What are my solutions without spending big dollars in lawyers!!!!!

You'll have to ask your ex-husband to refinance the loan in his name. Once he does so, you will not remain responsible for the mortgage dues any longer. Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
