Hi, my exboyfriend & I bought a property together & he left me 16 months ago with all payments. Does anyone know how to get him off loan, neither of us can refinance, he will not sign any deed? Is there a clause if someone has not helped pay property tax for x years they loose rights to property in texas? Please advise

Welcome vicki_tran,

In order to remove your ex-boyfriend from the property, you will have to refinance the property. As you cannot refinance the property, it would be better if you could speak to the lender about novation. It is also a way of transferring the property. I do not know much about whether he would lose the rights to the property if he does not pay the property taxes. I would suggest you to consult an attorney and get his opinion regarding this.
