My mother passed away in October without a will. She owned her home and wanted it bought by one of her children. My brothers have all stated that they want me to have the home so we need to find out what we need to do to get the property transfered into my name.

Hi linda!

Welcome to forums!

You've mentioned that your mother died without a will. In that case, you'll have to file an affidavit of heirship at the county recorder's office and transfer the property in your name.
