Looking to close on a house in Texas from out-of-state

I consider myself a resident of Texas, but, I am currently working out of state on contract. Is it possible to purcahse a house in Texas and close on it without having to fly to Texas at all. If it helps this will be my first mortgage.

It will be totally the lender's discretion whether he will give you the mortgage. Moreover in today's market lenders have tightened their rules for giving mortgage to people. They will be checking your credit score as well as income before giving you the loan. This community also has a number of lenders. You can seek a no-obligation free mortgage consultation from them.
