I have a small piece of property acquired through the Texas Veterans Land Program many years ago. It's long since paid off and I have clear title. Everything else I own is in joint ownership with my wife. I would like to get both our names on the title to this property. I've been told that I can do this with a quitclaim deed by showing myself as the Grantor and both our names as Grantees. Will this work, or is there a better way?

Hi watson!

Welcome to forums!

You can simply use a quitclaim deed to transfer the property in your name. You would be the grantor of the property whereas you should write your name and your wife's name as grantee to the property.

Feel free to ask if you have further queries.
