My wife died. I live in Tarrant County Texas. How do I get her name off of the dead?

Hi bensnyder

If you are co-owner of the house then there is no need of probate and just by submitting death certificate of your wife to the county officer where your property is located, your wife's name will be removed from the deed and thus you will be able to get hold of the property.

But if you are not co-owner then it will go to probate and the executing officer will go through all technical jargon i.e. will, debt on the property and then only you will be able to get hold of the property.
