I have a lot in Texas paid for and had a credit card debt collector garnish some of my wages for the credit card debt. Before it came to this, I quit claimed my lot to my best friend. Now that everything is cleared up, I want to build on this lot. She only did this to help me out, and has no interest in keeping it. We would like to know the steps to get it back to me in my name. Does she have to sell it back for $1, etc. or what? Thanks for any advice. _________________ Need help choosing the right loan? Get free consultation from community lenders/consultant |

Hi keb!
Welcome to forums!
She can either sell it back to you for $1 or she can even transfer it to you as a gift. However, if she transfers it to you as a gift she may have to pay a gift tax.
Feel free to ask if you have further queries.
