Hi Jusreedme,

You will only be able to remove your name from the mortgage docs once your ex-wife refinances the mortgage in her name. However, if your divorce decree states that she will have to refinance the loan within a specific period of time, then she is bound to refinance it. You can ask her to do it asap. You may even contact your divorce attorney and ask him negotiate with your ex-wife.

Thanks
