What does she have to do to remove her name from the mortgage? Will a QuitClaim work? The home is in Tarrant County, Texas. _________________ Need help choosing the right loan? A quitclaim deed will only transfer the property from one person to another. It will not help your daughter to remove her name from the mortgage. In order to remove her name from the mortgage, her boyfriend will have to refinance the property or go for a novation. Feel free to ask if you have further queries. Sussane
