His girlfriend still lives in the house but is not on the deed. we want to notify the mortgage company of his death but we can not get his girlfriend to let us in the house to get the mortgage company information. What can I do to get the name of the mortgage company to be able to send them a death certificate.

Unless you have a look at the mortgage documents, it'll be difficult for you to know who owns your husband's mortgage. As the girlfriend is not allowing anyone to enter the house, I would suggest you to contact an attorney and take his opinion in this regard. Feel free to ask if you've further queries. Sussane
