jmbug Guest	Posted: Tue Jul 13, 2010 8:52 pm    Post subject: surrending life estate/right to occupy in state of TX Like 0 Dislike 0 How can my mother, whose spouse passed away and left her a life estate (in Texas) give up her life estate and right to occupy, legally and without being responsible for the taxes, insurance, and liabilities (it has a pool)? I would suggest your mother to contact a real estate attorney and take his opinion in this regard. Thanks
