Would we be eligible for the 65 and over tax exemption if we added my mother to our deed? She lives with us so she does have an interest in the property.

Hi Guest,

Your mother can get the "Age 65 or older and disabled exemptions". She can be eligible for this exemption if she can't engage in any work due to physical or mental disability. However, in order to qualify, she will have to meet the Social Security definition for disabled. For further details, you may also check out the given page:
