iam going through a divorce,and have made a deal with my soon to be ex wife. if she signs a quitclaim deed ,i will agree to leave her name on the house for a year to help her credit. is this going to keep me protected. iam in washington state.

Hi davidfox!

Welcome to forums!

If your wife signs a quit claim deed, then she won't remain the owner of the property any longer. Thus, her name won't remain on the house. You would become the sole owner of the property. Thus, I don't think it would help her in improving her credit score in any way.
