I recently went through a divorce. We owned two homes, one being rented out. We each then received a home in the divorce. My husband has yet to removed me off the mortgage on the home he has. This is interfering with my credit report, showing my income does not support two mortages.
Question: Can I removed myself from that mortage? This is in the State of Wisconsin.

Hi yfcoffman!

Welcome to forums!

Your husband will have to refinance the mortgage in his name in order to remove your name from the mortgage documents. Once he does so, you will not remain liable for the dues.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
