I am in the middle of building a house and my husband has been laid off in which the bank knows he does seasonal work and is usually laid off about 3 months a year in between jobs, do I need to report his lay off to the bank before closing on our permanent loan ?

Describe your situation and don't hide any information, your lender will eventually find out. Dishonesty can jeopardise your chances of getting a mortgage.

If you providedincome documentation to the bank, and you were approved you do not need to notify them. The documents support the income with the 3 months off each year.   Michele Davillier 310.351.6579
