Texas Lady Bird Deed

Texas Lady Bird Deed

Hi:

I'm looking into having my mom's property transfered at her death using a Lady Bird Deed in order to qualify for Medicaid and protect them from Medicaid Recovery programs.

Here is my question. She has a house in one county and an unimproved lake lot in another county. Can both pieces of property be transfered using a Lady Bird Deed to the same recipient without it affecting Medicaid benefits?

Thanks,
Delilnda

If your mother is still alive, then she will have sign two different ladybird deeds in order to transfer the property to you. It will be better if you can even take the help of an attorney in this regard.

Try consulting an attorney regarding this issue.
