How would I go about writing an event proposal?

Posted on: 04th Sep, 2007 08:36 am
I'm doing some volunteer work for our local boat race commitee and what we are trying to do is secure a major television network to broadcast next years 60th annual Top O Michigan Marathon Nationals Boat Race. But I have no clue on how to write a proposal. I'm asking anyone with any proposal writing experience to help me out and point me in the write direction.
I am not good at writing letters. I will pass it on to others. :)

Yeah you and me both. I was just gonna write a simple letter and ask, but I though maybe I better try and do up a professional proposal so they know that we are serious about this.

Hi Wildstorm,

If you are not able to write the proposal yourself, it will be better if you take the help of any professional writer. He will be the right person to help you.

"Hi Wildstorm,

Thing is, since this is volunteer work, I don't want to have to pay a professional to either help me or write one for me.

Hi Wildstorm,

If you do not want to pay any professional writer, then why don't you write the proposal yourself in a simple way? Since it is a volunteer work, if you write the proposal in a plain and simple way to the television network requesting them to cover the program, I think they will surely come.

Moreover, you can also ask any other person who is involved in this volunteer work to write the proposal.
