im filing chapter 13 and one of my properties is forclosed and was sold at auction, today i recieved a letter that citi mortgage will pay up to 4500.00 dollars if i release the property now and release the 6 month buyback period will this hurt my bancruptcy or am i going to pay the piper taking this money.

If you get $4500.00, it may not effect your bankruptcy filing. However, I would suggest you to speak to your bankruptcy attorney in this regard. He would be the best person to let you know whether you will be able to file bankruptcy or not.
By the way, why are you filing Chapter 13?
