i contacted a local attorney and retained him to assist me in filing for chapter 7 bankruptcy. which of the following would apply to me?
1. the formation of creditor's meeting
2. the formation of reorganization plan
3. a meeting of the creditors

Hi heartsole,
Have you consulted your bankruptcy attorney regarding this? He is the best person to guide you in this matter. However, the formation of reorganization plan does not seem to be applicable in bankruptcy Chapter 7. The reorganization plan applies in Chapter 11. Bankruptcy Chapter 13 is also known as one form of reorganization of your debts. But I believe it does not apply in Chapter 7.

You are right, I never find any thing about this in Chapter 7. But how come it is 3rd one in this case i.e A meeting of the creditors. I am not meeting any creditor just meeting with attorney and preparing to file for bankruptcy... that's y i asked here to clear this confusion.
Thanks for replying... and waiting to get this confusion clear.

I guess you'll have to meet with your creditors after you file bankruptcy. You, along with your bankruptcy trustee and attorney will meet the creditors regarding your debts.
Thank you jenkin7 and Jasmine!
