After bankruptcy discharged account open

Posted on: 03rd Jul, 2009 07:34 am
I filed for ch. 7 bankruptcy several years ago. And dischared this bankruptcy.
But when i got my credit statement all my account has opened. These accounts that were included in the bankruptcy and discharged.
Why this account is still opened ?
should I dispute the accounts ?
check out uscreditsystem.com they have the best program for healthy credit re-establishment. as for those mis-reported items on your credit report. a copy of the schedule of debts and a letter to the three credit reporting agency's should clear up those items. the site I am telling you about will help you move forward, instead of looking back. what's done is done.

hi aksh,

if the accounts were discharged when you filed chapter 7 bankruptcy, then they should not appear as open in your credit report. you must be having all the documents related to your chapter 7 bankruptcy filing. send a certified mail to the credit bureaus and also attach the relevant documents related to the discharge of the accounts in bankruptcy. the credit bureaus will take steps to remove those accounts from your credit report.

if the credit bureaus do not take any action, then you can go ahead and dispute those accounts. you can contact an attorney and he would help you in this matter.
