How long do I need to wait?

hi there… i need to know this – after filing bankruptcy, how long one needs to wait in order to get the final documents and are free from your ex-creditors.
Getting a discharge and securing the papers will depend upon the type of bankruptcy you filed for - Chapter 7 or Chapter 13. In case of Chapter 7, it may take around 90 days to get a discharge.

Welcome Sandra,

In case of Chapter 13 (reorganization of debt), the court offers the discharge as soon as the debtor completes all payments under the plan.
