bankruptcy/foreclosure

Posted on: 21st Jul, 2012 09:43 pm
i filed bankruptcy in 2011 and in it my rental property was discharged but the lender has not foreclosed on it yet my question is...Is there a time limit on the lender foreclosing and taking back the property that would make the bankruptcy void? its been almost a year since i filed? does anyone know the time restraints on bankruptcy and foreclosure?
Hi houle,

I don't think there is any kind of time limit on the lender for foreclosing the property. However, if you wish, you may request the lender to foreclose the property asap so that you can easily get rid of it.

Thanks

Hi houle!

Welcome to forums!

I agree with the opinion of James. There is no time limit to foreclose the property after bankruptcy. You may keep in constant touch with the lender and ask him to take steps to foreclose the property.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
