that card out of bankruptcy if I prove I can afford to pay it?
I guess I am not quite sure what you are asking. Are you filing for bankruptcy? And if so, you are not wanting that card to be part of the BK? You dad being the main user can just remove you from the Authorized User and put you back on later.

You should follow Ashley's advice. Removing your name as an authorized user of the card is the best way to keep the credit card out of bankruptcy.
Feel free to ask if you have further queries.

if you are an authorized user, that means you have the ability to use and abuse your dad's card, but you are not liable for payments. why this would be an issue in a bankruptcy, i cannot decipher. you have no responsibility for making payments in the first place, so there appears to be no relevance to a bankrutpcy filing.
