First, is this negative to my credit? We have never missed a payment, before during or after the bk.
Second, I am told that to reaffirm I need to open the bk. Does this then start the clock all over.

Hi Kendoe,
A mortgage reaffirmation should have been taken place during the bankruptcy filing. Now that you haven't reaffirmed the bankruptcy filing, you are not personally liable for the mortgage payments and the lender is not liable to report your payments, if any, to the credit bureaus. If you miss the payment, then the lender may foreclose the property in order to recover the debts.
It is true that if you want to reaffirm your bankruptcy filing now, then you will have to re-open your bankruptcy. This might start the clock all over again.
Thanks
