If you are in bankruptcy and only have your home in forclouse can modify mortgage ?...Mortgage co. is trying to force us out without cashing our checks and are refusing to work with us, why can.t we get them to work with us. They just want to took the house.

If you have already filed bankruptcy, then the lender can't sue you or foreclose the property as the court has levied an automatic stay. Did your bankruptcy attorney contact the lender and informed him about your bankruptcy?
