Do I report this to the attorney?

Posted on: 30th Mar, 2012 12:32 am
I make a payment to my cousin every month ($200). Now I filed bankruptcy chapter 7. Their names are on the bank statement. Do I need to report this to my Attorney? And how much I have to report back (90 days?).And I received a statement from 1 CC I still make monthly payment. Can I not to pay this CC for next month?
Hi Korel!

Welcome to forums!

As far as I know, you should report about those payments to the bankruptcy attorney. In case the attorney or the trustee has any objections to those payments, then they will let you know about it. Then you can take steps accordingly. Once you file bankruptcy, you may stop the payments. You can take your bankruptcy attorney's opinion before you make payments on the credit card.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.

Hi Korel,

I agree with what Sussane has said. You should give all these details to your bankruptcy attorney and take his opinion in this regard. He will be able to guide you better and let you know what steps you need to take in this matter.

Thanks
