Pay more or leave

Hi there... I had know my landlady years before I rented the house. She gave it in rent to me because she wanted someone trustworthy. But now things have changed and she keeps on bothering us for different thing and at odd times! Now she wants us to pay more or leave the property. We have no written agreement but we have paid her a deposit. In such a situation, if we leave the property, will I get back my deposit? Any advice?
Hi Livewire,

As there is no written agreement between you and your landlady, it will be difficult for you to get back the deposit amount. You may not be able to recover it.

Take care

Welcome Livewire,

There are high chances that you will be losing your rental deposit as there is no written agreement between you and your landlady. Nevertheless, if you have a receipt of that deposit money, you can try claiming it.
