I built a man a new building that cost me 80,000. I never got paid for the job. I placed a lien on his property. Now i heard that medicaid is trying to get the building because he is in a nursing home now.

If you have put the lien first then surely you will get your pie after selling the property through court order.
Even you can write to medicaid that you have put a lien on this property so that in coming future you won't be in trouble to get your hard earned money back.
