I am leaving my present apartment and shifting to a new one. But I don’t know how the whole move out process works. Today, I received my social security deposit in mail. What else should I do?

If the utilities of that apartment are in your name, then you should inform the utility company and remove the utility from your name. You should also make sure that you pay the final bills.

I agree with what Sara has said. You should check out if any facility that is provided to you in the apartment is in your name. You should contact each of them and get them cancelled.
