Pay rent when served notice

Posted on: 04th Oct, 2013 01:11 am
Hello there... I have served the landlord with 60 days notice. Now the landlord has sold off the property to a new owner who is charging excessive rent. I have not signed any agreement with the new owner.
Though you have not signed any agreement, if you stay in the property, even after serving a notice, you will be liable for rent payments.

In that case, you'll have to talk to the new owner and get the details of what amount would be the best for both of you. If you need an attorney to handle this, then consult one, but make sure that everything is done in writing.
