Homeowners insurance

If you're renting to own a property, then it is mandatory for you to have a homeowners insurance? And do I have to property taxes as well?
Well, I don't think you will be liable for a home owners insurance. Rather, you may have to go for a renter's insurance. As far as property taxes are concerned, it is the landlord who will pay them.

Hi Bib,

I agree with what Jerry has said. Even after saying so, I will suggest you to check out your contract with the landlord and look out for the clauses.

Thanks
