I would really like to know the status of my section 8 application. I applied a few years ago. I have a prospect number. But I dont know where to go to check it.I went on hacla.org. But i dont see a link to check status. I also would like to just update my information because I now have a 1yr old.
My three children and i are needing a house we are currently living with my parents....please let me know how soon we will have a home. Thank you.

No one here will be able to let you know as to how soon you will be able to have a home. If you had already applied for a Section 8 housing, then you should get in touch with the Public Housing Authority and check out the status of your application.

I heard one late payment on housing will disqualify you from all future applications is this true?

You have heard it wrong. One late payment won't disqualify you from future loan applications. But it is true that if this is reported to your credit report, it will have a negative impact on your scores.
