Hi everyone! EdFinancial is my student loan lender. I have two student loans with them. I was past due 90 days on both in December 2007 and have been current since then. How do I remove the past due updates from my credit report?

Well, any negative item will stay in your credit report for 7 years. It becomes quite difficult to convince the creditors and remove the negative items from your credit report.

You can only request your creditor get those negative items deleted from your credit report. The final decision rests upon the creditor.
