Collateral loan using manufactured home

Posted on: 15th Jan, 2011 02:49 pm
I have a paid in full manufactured home, double wide, 3 bedrooms, 1995,
paid in full with no loans attached. I need a loan to fix up the yard, re-do the porch, and new appliances. Any chance of my getting a loan?
Hi Janet,

As the property is free and clear, you will be able to get a mortgage on it. However, in order to get a loan, you should have a good credit score and income.

The manufactured home that you are talking about is a free and clear property and since it is not built before 1976, you have the chance to get approved for a loan by keeping the manufactured home as collateral.
