take my name off of a quick claim deed

Take my name off of a quick claim deed. Do not want my father responsible for my debts.
Hi Croke,

Welcome to Mortgagefit discussion board.

Is it that both, you and your father are on the title of the house and you want your name to be removed from the title?

To remove your name from the title you can use a quit claim deed, on the deed you will be named as grantor as you will be the person transferring his interest and your father as the grantee.

"Do not want my father responsible for my debts."

What debt are you taking about? Mortgage?

Do provide other details so that I can give some more advice.

Thanks
Blue

"Do not want my father responsible for my debts."
If your father is not named on the debt along with you (like as being a co-borrower or co-signer) then he will not be responsible for your debts.
