Hi Momtaaz,

Welcome to the forum.

You cannot remove you ex-girlfriend from the deed on your own. She will have to sign a quitclaim deed to transfer her share of property to you as a grantor. So is she willing to quitclaim to you?

Best of luck,
Larry

Hi CT,

You can contact a real estate attorney and he will help you in drafting the quit claim deed and filling it out to transfer the property from one person to another. If you want to transfer the property solely to your children, then your name would be mentioned as the grantor and the names of children would be mentioned as the grantee.

Thanks

My huband was taken off when we refinanced a few years ago. Do we use a quit claim to add him back on?

Thanks

Hi Cherri!

Welcome to forums!

You can sign a quitclaim deed and add your husband's name to the property.

Can my wife quick claim deed our home over to me (husband) in the state of Nevada, or do we have to refinance first?

Hi William,

If you want to own the property as well as the mortgage, then you should refinance and then get the property transferred in your name at the time of the closing of the loan.

Thanks

Would like to transfer the mortgage as and the property to my son, does this work with a quik claim deed?

Hi moodyb!

Welcome to forums!

You will be able to transfer the property to your son using the quitclaim deed. However, he will have to refinance the mortgage in order to take over the mortgage payments.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.

Divorced! Has to sign a Quit Claim Deed to EX husband. Can I just get an blank form. Sign it & do the recording? How do I get the form? Tenants are in the houses (2) & pay rent to EX monthly. Thank you.

Hi ew,

It will be better if you could contact a real estate attorney and get the form drafted from him. The real estate attorney will also guide you in notarizing and recording the deed.

Thanks
