Mobile Home was foreclosed on, how long do they have to remo

Property is owned by individual that was living in the mobile home but the mortgage to the mobile home was in someone elses name that passed away. Now the mobile home is foreclosed on and tenants moved out over 30 days ago, how long does the mortgage company legally have to move it off the property in Alabama?
Hi msvicky,

I have not heard about such laws. I think it will be better if the mortgage company discuss with the property owner in this regard.

Is anyone out there knows anything about such laws? It will be a great help if anyone let us know about it.

Thanks,
Larry

My mother passed away in Jan. this year things have been such a mess that I almost lost her mobile home in foreclosure. I was lucky at the last minute and got a small personal loan. I paid off the mobile home and the property it is on, but unfortunetly I couldn't get enough to pay off the rather large utility bill that is still owed to the mobile home park office. They have a lien on the mobile home, but they also said they would foreclose on my property, and that they could make me move my mobile home off the property. If I own the property can they do this? Thank You for any kind of help you can give me.

Hi Cynthia!

You can take another personal loan and pay off the utility bills. If you don't the lender has all the right to foreclose your property.

Thanks,

Jerry

cynthia,

you may want to check the laws governing your state. if you owned both the land and home, the lien against the property should be treated as any other real estate property wherein as before you could refinance or sell, the lien would have to be satisfied.

you may also want to check with your public utilities commission for further advise or recommendations.

They foreclosed my mobile home in 2003. Finance Co. went out of business. Is there a law to how long they had to take this home off the land? I live in Pa. The land is my aunts and free title, didn't use land for collateral. she wants it off and no answers. :(
