I just rented a section 8 apartment with my voucher and it took 20 days to get inspected, I live in Seattle. When I lived in Maryland it took about 10 days.

Hi qj!

Welcome to forums!

As far as I know, the inspections are scheduled within 2 weeks of your applying for Section 8 voucher. Also, it is done within 10 working days of the inspector receiving your application for property inspection.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.

Keep in mind that "typically" doesn't mean "always". We are talking about government workers after all. Most likely, they are on vacation this week.

Welcome keke,

You should contact the lender and check out with him as to when the appraiser will come for home inspection.

Hi Squeek!

Welcome to forums!

I think you should contact the local PHA (Public Housing Authority) and take their opinion in this matter. They will let you know when you will be able to get the home.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
