my home is financed through a mortgage company that according to ahmsi is confidential and they can't tell me who is financing my home. i would like to refinance my home if possible, even if my credit is not the best. this american home mortgage servicing inc is not a mortgage company but a debt collector. i so much want to get rid of hem
Just refinance it. American Home Mortgage Servicing will be paid off and you will be on your own with your new bank.
Yeah! refinance is the only solution for you, thurma. It's strange that AHMSI is so reluctant to disclose who's financing your loan. Sounds like there's something fishy about them. You ought to look for ways to refinance to get rid of them.
ahmsi is, indeed, a mortgage servicing company. they grew out of american home mortgage, which shut down a couple of years ago.
in fact, my mortgage was with american home mortgage, and is now serviced by ahmsi. you are partially right in that ahmsi is the servicer for a whole ton of foreclosed properties, but that doesn't make them "fishy" as our "guest" might have us believe.
oh yeah...i'm not crazy about them either, so this is definitely not an apology for them.
