CashNetUsa payday advance

has anyone ever heard of payday loan comp called cashnetusa.com? i recently got a loan which wasnt due until today, and i went and had them deduct my payment out of my bank acct on the 31st of july, and i know the money was there to pay them because i was viewing it every night online.. but anyway they say i now own them 25.00 more then wat i had originally owed because the payment came back nsf.. they said the bank denied that i had an account, so the other night a cs rep told me that if they could do a conf call with me and the bank that they would drop the additional 25.00 charge, but the bank was closed by the time i got off work, it appears that they submitted to my bank the payment that was owed to them an ach debit from a checking acct, and this is why i am being charged the extra 25.00 because of a mistake on their own part, because when i signed up i had notated that i had a savings acct not a checking acct... and then this morning when i had called they denied that they even proposed a 3way call with me and the bank... they screwed up my bank info on purpose so that they could make an extra 25.00 from me, and when i tried to talk with them about it, they practically reached thru the phone yellin at me tryin to tell me what is what and how it was my mistake and not theirs.. if there is no complaints against them, then here is one... dont do business with them, they purposely mess up your bank acct info so that they can charge u an nsf fee and get more money outta you, and when u realize the mistake they've made with ur acct info, the website wont let u change it it says to email support to change info, and by then its 2late cuz they already charged you. what can i do about this, any suggestions? i got money in bank now and their supposed to deduct sometime today, wat if they purposely mess up and try to charge me again another fee? i cant afford pay back the loan on top of all these fees they keep chargin...got money to pay off now.. but if they charge another fee then i dont know wat ill be able to do.. any suggestions?
You ought to be able to prove that you didn't receive any money, right? Whoever is calling you with threats needs to be reported to the FTC right away. Do that online at www.ftc.gov.

Earlier this year I took out a payday loan with this company. On 04/12/2011 I received an email from my bank that a debit of $253.00 had been returned that was sent by CashNet USA. I then received an email 24 hours later stating they were going to take out the same amount on 04/15/2011 because the first one did not go through. At this time I called the company and told them the money WOULD NOT be available at that time and that I needed more time to come up with the funds. The operator told me she could move the transaction out to 04/19/2011 (which she didn't do) and I received another email that said the funds would be coming out on 04/15/2011. I called and again told them the funds WOULD NOT be available and the women told me that she could not change or cancel this transaction. Notice that there are only 3 business days between the first attempt and the second attempt. I faxed and emailed the company a "Cease and Desist" order and specifically stated several times that they are NOT AUTHORIZED to withdraw any funds from any of my accounts. The company refused to acknowledge acceptance of this and sent a copy of my contract stating they could do what they wanted and I couldn't do anything about it.

The company in fact CHANGED THE TRANSACTION TO FORCE THE TRANSACTION TO GO THROUGH as an "Internet Payment" instead of an AHC Transaction. On 04/15/2011 the transaction did in fact go through charging two amounts of $117.50 to come from my account plus a charge of $70.00 for NSF charges in addition to the NSF from Monday. Again on 04/22/2011 the company had tried to put through an additional transaction of $61.50 which declined and was charged additional NSF charges.

The way this company conducts business is illegal and NOT in accordance with my Alabama State Law concerning payday loans. I have offered to pay the loan in accordance with Alabama Law - 4 equal monthly payments. This company refused to follow the law or acknowledge my rights as a customer.

334Victim, what have you done to take steps to solve this problem? I ask that because anything you've done that might have success in retrieving your funds will undoubtedly help someone else who finds him/herself in the same boat.

Please come back and tell us how you made out with this issue. Sharing is delightful, but even more so if you can demonstrate some benefit to others who may be facing the same issue.

Thanks.

Hi Michael!

Welcome to the forums!

If you need a loan, you will have to speak to the local lenders. They will check if you meet all the required criteria and then let you know whether or not you qualify for a loan.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.

I have several payday loans and they are harassing me at work and on the phone. I have closed my account and have not answered any calls only corresponding through email. I want to consolidate all of them but not sure which company to go with as I have heard they can scam people too. Can anyone help?

Hi Godchild,

You can definitely consolidate all your debts in order to get rid of them. It will be difficult for us to let you know which consolidation company to go with. You can speak to your friends and relatives and try to get references from them.

Thanks
