Happy with citimortgage

citimortgage bought my mortgage servicing back in July, I have had a very pleasant experience with them so far. I would recommend this company to my family and friends and to you as well.

I am very pleased with them so far.
Hey Jbarto thanks for sharing your experience with the community. I think it will help general people and youngsters like me to make the decision regarding taking a mortgage.

But one thing that strikes on my head is that are you an officials from citimortgage. If so then your post may be considered as a promotional post and any moderator may delete your post at any given point of time.

Best of luck,

My loan was bought by Citimortgage last year. Since then they've been sending me mails and calls just saying that they have not received any payment. But I did pay and have set up as recurring through a bank account.

However when I looked into my bank statement, there is an extra payment noted which I didn't understand. I have been paying late charges and had to make an extra payment also most unwillingly. I spoke to someone last month about this and got a mail stating that my account was overdue.

I never had problems with my mortgage payment until this bank took over. I did call up the represdentative but nobody responds. Not good servicing as I feel

Hey enriko.

Do you want to know the website of city mortgage? I feel if you google it you can get it easily.

yes they have a website, you can access all your account information on there and figure out what is going on there.

You can ask for a statement of all the payments made through your bank from your bank and send that to them and show them that you are indeed caught up.

It should not take long to straighten it all out if they have the proof of paperwork, they have been okay for me so far. Hopefully you will get this all straightened out soon. goodluck, get the paperwork from the bank and send it off to them.

Just don't have a problem with Citi or try to get a short sale approved. They will take forever and you will lose your buyers, and they won't care.

Obviously, had a terrible experience with them. Exactly as I said above.

I think with every lender you will have stories on both sides?

I have had sooooo many problems with this mortgage company from misapplying payments to losing payments and now they are claiming that after our chptr13 bankruptcy that we have more fees but all the fees were added into our bankruptcy, I am wondering if there is anyway to force them to sell our loan to someone else or if there is a way to get our mortgage with someone else? I just cant deal with these thieves anymore!!!!

Welcome rbblack,

The lender should have given you a easier payment plan so that you will be able to pay off the mortgage debts within 3-5 years. It is surprising that they haven't done it. Well, I don't think you can force them to sell off the mortgage to a collection agency. Try contacting your lawyer to deal with the lender.

Our bankruptcy attorney will not even speak to me over the phone because our bankruptcy is over!!!
Now we just tried to go with another mortgage company and apparently citi doesn't want us to so they said we have not made payments that we have proof of making and they are trying to forclose on our home ilegally!
I wish someone would file a class action lawsuit

Hi rbblack,

Did you try speaking to any other attorney who can help you in this case? You can contact another lawyer and take his/her suggestions in this case.

Thanks

update: as soon as citi got wind of us trying to refinance (only refinancing to get the hell away from citi's bull crap) they claimed they never recieved our last payment (a late payment is the only thing that could keep us from being able to refinance) the payment was not late by any means i called and spoke to an agent and it was confirmed by him that they screwed up and the payment was made on time which is good, but the assholes reported to our credit that the payment was late and it cannot be removed, which is crap because it was not our mistake.

citi mortgage and all their agents are incompetent.
