How long does a bank/mortgage company have to remove an encumbrance?

Is the Bank or the mortgage company has put a lien on your property? If you pay them off then the lien will be released.

It varies by state, generally the mortgage co. has 30-60 days to record a lien release once the loan has been paid in full.
