I received a remodification plan from Wells Fargo b/c I got laid off. They decreased my mortgage payments and told me I was on a 3 month trial basis. I made my payments on time for June, July and August and now I get a letter telling me they tried to contact me by phone twice in July for further info and are cancelling my remodification b/c I did not respond. I never got a call from them. I have to reapply all over which will take another 90 days. I have spoken to numerous supervisors and no one can help me. This sounds like a scam to me. I want to report them, but I am not sure who I should report them to. I wanted to know if anyone else has experienced something like this. Thanks for any help.
It seems that there has been some mis-communication between you and your lender. If you feel that you are being scammed by the lender, you can report against them at the BBB.
