Credit Profiling

Posted on: 28th Aug, 2007 12:45 pm
Does anyone have any suggestions or knowledge of a credit profiling program or site? I have several inaccuracies on my credit report and would like to get an idea of what effect removing them would have. A free simulator is preferred.
It would certainly help to improve your credit score if the inaccuracies are removed from credit report.

You should start with disputing inaccuracies in your report with the bureaus. As the inaccurate information gets removed from your file you will see gradual improvement in your score.

Hi Rakuhn,

There are many credit reporting agencies which are available online. You need to contact any of these agencies and inform about all the inaccuracies on your credit report. They will investigate and dispute the wrong informations from your credit report within a specified period of time.

The removal of these inaccurate informations from your credit report will have a positive impact on your score. Your credit score will gradually rise after this.

Removing inaccuracies will certainly have positive affect on your credit score. The more number of inaccurate entries you are able to remove, the better improvement you will see in your score.

Though there are many stimulators which can be used to get an estimate of how your credit score will improve but if you keep monitoring your credit report yourself you would be able to know the improvements.

I was in similar situation and was able to get such entries removed from my report and in a few months time saw a considerable increase in my score.

I have removed severak items that were inaccurate from my credit in the past. It helps to have the items taken off. Keep monitoring the report, it will get better slowly.

I agree with Jflowerstn. As inaccurate stuff will drop off your report, you will start to see improvement in score. At the time you apply for credit in future, having a clear report certainly does help.

Thanks

as far as i know (information coming from years of experience and long discussions with credit repair professionals)
There different items on your credit report that will affect it differently and while removing mistakes on credit is beneficial in most cases be carefull what you trying to repair. (some very old stuff shouldnt be touched)
Dont deal with credit reporting agencies deal with credit beuraus directly and consult with them as to how best to handle it. Get free credit report from government authourised site so it doesnt hurt your credit.
