Date of First Delinquency

Posted on: 22nd May, 2012 02:42 am
Can anyone let me know what is the difference between Date Major Delinquency First Reported and Date of First Delinquency? Which one does the seven years go by?
As far as I know, the date of first delinquency is the date when you were first late on making a payment and never again brought the account current. This will remain in your credit report for the next 7 years. However, date of major Delinquency First Reported is the date the creditor first reported that delinquency to the CRAs.

Welcome Washgirl,

I agree with what Niicss has said. It is the date of first delinquency which will be mentioned in your credit report for the next 7 years.
